Royal Brunei orders new Dreamliners

On 20 February 2024, Boeing announced at the Singapore Air Show that it has signed an agreement with Royal Brunei Airlines for new Dreamliners. In total, the airline has ordered four B787-9s. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2028.

According to the press-release, the airline will use the new aircraft to renew its widebody-fleet, which today consists of five B787-8s. These are, on average, nine years old. Next to the Boeings, Royal Brunei operates a single Airbus A320, and seven A320neos.
